Private events

The Hadden Cottage

Our oldest building — circa 1850s, Walter Anderson prints on the walls — hosts private gatherings of up to 35 guests, with the lake all to yourselves.

Rehearsal dinners, birthdays, office parties: call us and we'll set it up.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What's the vibe? Do I need to dress up?

Extremely casual: quality food without lakefront pricing, served by people who take service seriously. Dress code is whatever you wore on the boat.

Is it quiet?

Honestly, no — we're a little loud. That's the tradeoff for original 1880s wood. For a quiet, white-tablecloth night, our sister restaurants Pat Gallagher's 527, Gallagher's Grill and Gallagher's on Front Street do quiet beautifully.

Can I bring my kids?

Please do — we're family friendly, with a kids' menu (tenders, shrimp, catfish strips, grilled cheese, burgers, pasta alfredo) and a room where a little noise fits right in.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes — on the downstairs courtyard patio only. There's a pet watering station, and full food and drink service outside.

Is Sophie Tavern really 21+?

Yes — the 1916 cocktail cottage is adults only. The dining room, deck, oyster bar and courtyard all welcome the whole family.

Do you take reservations?

Yes — reserve through OpenTable any time, or call (985) 951-2173. For larger parties or the Hadden Cottage, calling is best.

Where do I park?

On-site parking at 2129 Lakeshore Drive, right by the front gate. If the lot's full on a busy night, there's street parking along Lakeshore.
